You don't need to become an AI expert. You need enough space and practice to decide what thoughtful use looks like for you.
Four weeks. One thoughtful process.
Week 1 - Pause
Notice what you're carrying into the conversation. Curiosity? Excitement? Skepticism? Pressure? Concern?
There isn't one correct response. Start where you are.
Week 2 - Reframe
Step back from the noise.
Consider what technology can support, what you value about learning, and what you don't want to lose simply because new possibilities exist.
Week 3 - Practice
Experiment with prompting, brainstorming, time-saving tasks, creative support, and critical evaluation—while noticing what actually helps.
Week 4 - Reconnect
Use this space to reconnect with yourself and your values. Did you discover something new in the process? What values do you want to carry forward?
I made this because I needed it, too.
Like many educators, I watched the conversation around AI move quickly. New tools. New possibilities. New concerns. New expectations.
I was excited, but skeptical.
Intrigued, and cautious.
I also realized I needed a place to pause.
Not because I wanted to step away from AI, but because I wanted to understand what I actually thought about it.
So I started journaling.
I thought about learning. Teaching. Creativity. Judgment. Technology. What AI might make easier. What it might change. And what I hoped we wouldn't lose along the way.
Those reflections eventually became Educators Navigating AI.
